7.00pm R2#4 Sarum Knight, bit of an in and out customer but looks certain to receive every possible hope here with no gate speed inside him. Not the strongest but shouldn't cop any early pressure and the lead time should be no quicker than 36 which should entitle him to win. Just hope the 5 doesn't come over with him and drop onto his back as thats the only possible way it could beat him. Other danger in #7 Nickel Miss is a filly taking on the boys and might find it tough from the draw but does whack away all day so if it becomes a slog home she becomes a chance but I have it pegged as a slowly run first half then a dash home
Pretty ordinary him falling into 3rd, pretty ordinary from me as well expecting a slow lead time when Lance Justice is driving in the race
7.30pm: R3 - quinella 4,6 (Striking Kelly, Bettor Give It), the fav #6 was super impressive at first start winning with ease and running an exceptional last quarter so picks herself. Really fancy #4 Striking Kelly for the quinella spot as was backed into favourite at first start and got knocked over. Did win a Maryborough trial prior by 15 metres running home in 59.3 on a wet and windy day (which was the quickest last 800 of the 11 trials run that day). Interesting to note the horse she beat by 15 metres in the trial actually ran 3rd in the same race she got knocked over in. The Manning stable have 3 horses in the race but none have been too impressive so far. Looks a pretty good bet
Striking Kelly was abysmal
Albion Park
6.38pm: R4 - quinella 1,10 (Bay Of Eagles, Justa Little Randy), Bay Of Eagles is a 3YO taking on older horses here but he is very good and loves to lead in his races and should do so here despite some speed outside him. #10 Justa Little Randy is a tough 4yo who makes his own luck and is the 2nd best horse in the race
Pole horse led and galloped putting paid to its chances, 10 horse won the race
The less said about these selections the better
